After being diagnosed with a genetic dysfunction of the spine, I decided to shift my choreographic practice consciously to the processing of pain. How can pain be visualized through movement? What does caring for pain look like?
I started researching the topic of chronic pain in my first residency "The Body in Pain" at the Goethe Institute in Rotterdam in Winter 2023 with a group of five dancers.
