Ali Zanad is a professional dancer in the Netherlands, originally from Iraq. After moving to the Netherlands at 13, he became immersed in Western urban dance, particularly Hip Hop. Over time, he developed as a dancer, performing in various settings, including solo performances. In 2022, Ali decided to explore choreography, prompting him to reflect on his artistic direction. He felt drawn to reconnect with his Arabic roots, exploring how this cultural heritage could influence his work. His mission is to merge the Western and Arabic cultures within his choreography, using dance as a bridge between these two influences in his life.
